Moving question
I am moving. I will be putting the snake in a pillow case. When you move a snakes cage do you need to take the same precautions you would as if you were switching cages. I mean do I have to leave the snake alone for 2 weeks?

Depends on the individual snake. Some of mine would settle right in with no issues, others would take a month to acclimate.
Also I would suggest pillow case or snake bag + a tub with a securely latching lid for the actual move. A snake should be doubly-secured when in a vehicle, and never just held in-hand, as there are just too many places for it to hide and/or get hurt if it escapes.

I agree with BCR, I recently moved from CA to UT, all snakes were in bags or deli cups and those were placed in tubs for secure transport. Don't put a '2 week' limit, but as she said, some will be fine right away, others may take a month or longer to settle in and get feeding again.

If you have much of a vehicle journey, putting the bagged snake into a styro-foam shipping box or "ice chest" (no ice!) will help protect from excess heat from the
sun* if you get stuck or stop for lunch. Don't risk your animals, plan ahead for what may go wrong. They are stuck & have no way to call for help...they just die.
*I can remember a sad thread years back on another forum, a member lost his favorite snake that was only bagged & put on the floor of his truck for a long ride.
The floor had little insulation from the engine heat and the snake died from heat exposure...he was barely alive on arrival & passed quickly, nothing he could do.
