Just moved into a place with a friend. She said utilities was included. Last night it was going to be pretty cold outside maybe down to 50 at night so o left a heater on low. Long story short my roommate found out and is not comfortable with me heating up the whole room for the snake because of issues with landlord. I never had an issue keeping the heat in my tank even in fairly cold temperatures because I have 4 sides of glass tank insulated with foam board and most of the screen top covered as I lived in a place before where the temperatures could fluctuate quite a bit. However this is still frustrating because I had no idea it wasn’t ok to run a heater in my room. I am leaving this weekend for 3 days or so and was gonna have a friend check in on the snake once to make sure humidity is good. On Sunday night it’s gonna be 40 degrees at night and inside temps will probably be somewhere between 50-60 degrees. Wondering if you’d think he’d be ok for a couple of days with a low room temperature, His inside temperatures with still be ok but CHE would probably run almost full time at night. He has a UTH as well of course all on thermostat controllers. The only thing is that it’d probably dry his tank out a lot (luckily he just shed). He does have a humidity hide, so hopefully he’d go in there is he needs to have more humidity.
I could always bring him back to my husbands house where we could have heat on however it seems stressful to move him again and then again once it warms up in one or two weeks here in Oregon..
Thoughts anyone?
