Nicaraguan Hypo?
Hi! Just went to our local reptile pet store where we live. My husband held what was labeled as a Nicaraguan Salmon boa. However can’t find any info on it and looking at photos it looks like a Nicaraguan hypo. She was gorgeous and the store owner got her from a private person that couldn’t afford keeping their reptiles any longer. She looked salmon colored and her belly was salmon pink. Any ideas for what to look for when I’m looking for care instructions for this snake? Would it be the same requirements as for a red tail boa for example? Also how much do these boas normally cost ? They’re asking $300 which seem to be a fair price. If we do end up getting her we’d like to know exactly what we’re stepping into in form of care, humidity requirements etc..

Re: Nicaraguan Hypo?
Salmon = hypo.
As far as care goes, temps of 85 warm side, 78 cool side should work well, maybe with a hot spot of 90f if you have the means. Humidity of 60% should be enough for one of these guys.

Hypo Nicaraguan(boa imperata) are great don't get too big and have Insane colours on them, and loads of speckling, I love mine, just normal boa care as already stated above
