    Rabbits

Does anyone feed their BP's baby rabbits? I breed meat rabbits as a food source for myself, and was just curious if people ever fed baby rabbits, like rabbit pinkies or fuzzies, if you will.

I don't believe so. There's no reason that they couldn't eat them, but ball pythons tend to get stuck on one type of feeder. Not everyone has easy access to rabbit kits, which would make it tough for you to sell them in the future should it be necessary.

If you find yourself with excess meat rabbits then get yourself some boas or larger pythons.

I do, I feed rabbit kits to those that will take it. I'd say about 35% of by BPs will take them.

edit to add - I do find those same ones are just as quick to take a rat when I don't have rabbit kits

Interesting. It would just be a supplemental thing if I did try.

Lol. I dont think my husband would let me get a snake big enough to need to eat rabbits.

    Re: Rabbits

I wish I could find some reasonably priced rabbits as feeders. I'd love to try them with some of my snakes.

Not necessarily large enough to “need” to eat rabbits. Just large enough to handle them if you had rabbits to spare

This. My king, rat/corn, and milk snakes like the stillborn kits.

That is along the lines I was thinking. It would be nice to have some to do with the stillborn kits.

We do Flemish giants, so you are looking at 15 lb rabbits.
