How long has your ball python come off feeding for?
just wondering how long everyone's ball pythons have come off feeding for. Mine has gone 7 months without eating, but he seems fine, no weight loss. Just wondering what's normal for a ball python as I know they are binge eaters.

I have two males and they are about a year old now and have never missed a meal but it’s about that time where they might next season. I’m not to worried about it though.

Re: How long has your ball python come off feeding for?
My oldest male, Eli, has gone 6 months without eating in the past. In more recent years, he’ll go a month or two, then start eating again.

Interesting thread, gonna be following this to see the different time ranges. My BP is still small and I've only had him for about 3 months so I haven't experienced a feeding strike yet but I'm not looking forward to my first one since I think I'll probably stress over it lol.

My two oldest males stop around late December and really don’t start again with regularity til late June. I offer once a month during that time. Occasionally they’ll take one around April. They’re around 1700 and 1500 grams, they usually only lose around 25 to 30 grams during that time. I have two younger males that I thought for sure would strike this winter, but are eating right through it. They’re around 1100 and 1300 grams. Every once in a while one might take a couple weeks off, but nothing major other then their winter break (love is in the air).
