He can go a loooong time. My little roughscale sand boa went 5mos without loosing weight. Wild BPs only eat a few times a year.

he's already went from 1660(a few days after he ate) to 1587 in one month. should i be worried? he hasnt lost any mass it looks like, he just feels like he's empty.

Re: how long can he go for?

he's fine. one of my snakes went 6 months without eating, for no apparent reason. she finally decided to get over it and within just a few feeds she was back up to the weight she was at before it happened. he's a bp--they get picky. as long as your husbandry is correct don't sweat it.

Re: how long can he go for?

My forst BP went 9 months without eating and he lost about a pound and a half. A month after we got him we went back into the pet store and they asked us if it had eaten, we said no and they told us that this one was WC. Luckally now hes over 1000 grams and eating like a horse. He was so bad at one point he had to be force fed and ever since then hes never missed a meal.

i noticed that he's not as fat as he usually is, when you touch his backbone its slightly more prominent then it used to be. i'll try to get a pic and weight on him by next time im on. im starting to freak out, it's officially been one month since he hasnt eaten. i also noticed that his intestine feels hollow, is he still fine? he's not at all emaciated, or even skinny(but he has a bit weight, like 100g) but im still really worried. man im paranoiding out!!

If you're really worried, try bringing him to the vet. My Coastal hasn't ate in three months, but her backbone isn't showing. I'd take him to the vet just to be safe.
