    Feeding

So not last weekend but the weekend before I bought two new ball pythons at repticon. So after leaving them alone for a little over a week I tried to feed and my candino ate frozen thawed last night. She didn’t take it from the tongs but did take it once I laid it in the cage. My mystic potion just balls up and acts like he’s afraid of it. The breeder said he was eating live so should I go buy a live and try again tonight or tomorrow or do I wait another week and try the frozen thawed? Thanks for advice

If it was me ... I’d leave them both another 10 to 14 days and then try thawed again ..
Feed evening , low light and use the hairdryer trick ..

See if the pet store will give you some bedding out of their cage. Sometimes that extra scent on the rat has helped. Depending on size I'd wait and try again.

    Re: Feeding

As an update....successful feeding of my little mystic potion. Laid f/t mouse at the opening of his hide and he hit it. So that is both of my little ones have had their first successful meal and both did it with me just laying it in front of hide? My full grown pied ball since he was little would only take if I wiggle with tongs. Just glad everyone is eating!!!!!

    Treze

Sure is! I can relax! Both were being fed live so I was worried. I hope switching to rats will be this easy.... lol
