    A good thing?

So I'm hoping this is a good sign. As some may know, I got a new rack the other day. And I WAS having humidity problems. But that seems to be fixed. The top pic is her with my thermostat set at 96. She seemed to not want to be on the tub floor. I turned my thermostat down to 93. The second pic, it looks like she is comfortable with that.

Really? You're adjusting the thermostat and you're measuring it with the way your animal reacts to it?
Please tell me you have a thermometer probe on the inside, right under that paper towel measuring 90f or slightly less. An infrared thermometer gun works great for this also.

No. I have the probe in the air 6ft away cuz that's as far as it will stretch.

I don't care what your thermostat is set to, what is the floor temperature under the paper towel?

I don't know if this is supposed to be sarcasm or what, but, for the sake of your snake's health...96* is too hot. Should be 90*F (measured with a temp gun) on the hot spot with 78-80*F ambient temperature on the cool side.

Here is an affordable infrared heat gun if you don't already have one: https://www.amazon.com/Etekcity-Lase...rared+heat+gun

Also, this is my current favorite for placing inside the tank for ambient temperature/humidity readings (also very affordable): https://www.amazon.com/ThermoPro-TP5...rds=hygrometer

You definitely need to have something like that set (tempature, humidity) before you add animals in to the mix. Definitely dangerous and reckless to the safety and well being of your snake(s).

I actually replied to your thread about the VE-200. And l said to make sure your temps are good for a few days before introducing your snakes to the rack system like Sonny said.
