I’ll add my two cents. I keep my snakes in tanks in my living room. I am unfortunately very sick/severely disabled. I have a lot of time, so to speak. What I’m trying to get at is because of my unusual circumstances, I’ve had the pleasure/misfortune of seeing my inactive ball pythons be active. The behavior of your snake (as long as your husbandry is on) sounds like a snake just kinda being a snake. Checking things out in its limited surroundings, doing snake things. Lmao

Re: Why is he doing this..

Yeah, I guess it's a pretty silly thing to get worried over. I've just never seen him doing that to a hide before unless it was one he didn't like, and I was afraid that he wanted to hide but something was upsetting him and causing him to come back out. Thanks for putting my mind at ease.

He just has a case of the "munchies" from smelling where he last had dinner.
