I’ve bred her to a very young Super Pastel Pied, and just in case he didn’t get the job done, I also let a proven Firefly Pied have his way with her!
So she is carrying a whole clutch of pastel pieds, OR a mix of pieds, pastel pieds, Fire pieds and firefly pieds.

Do you palpate?
I know many don't but I found it a great habit to track from follicles to eggs.

So if I understand correctly, it's like 60-63 days until hatch after the eggs are laid?

It depends a lot on incubation temperatures. A cooler incubated clutch can take far longer - but you have to be carefull not to go to too high a temperature as well as you will face deformities, fatalities and other complications.
You have to make judgements - I typically incubate at 86-90f and expect pipping at around 58-60 days. Monitoring them through candling works best and don't cut until you absolutely know they are ready - best guide for this is when the first one pips the egg on its own to be honest. Even then you have to take care of the eggs you cut open.

Thanks for the insight. Is the reason the mother snakes are not left to incubate their own based on mortality rates?

Re: Ready to POP!
I'm honestly unsure - female bP's ( I think) have been known to exhibit bewhaviours to control the conditions around their eggs from urintating to increase humidity to twitching to increase the body temperature to pass on to the coiled clutch.
The best source of this information ( if it actually exists ) would be the Barkers at vpi.com as they have experimented with many different types of set-ups and incubation over the years.
The main reason most people do non-maternal incubation is to get the female back on feeding early as laying eggs can take a tremendous toll on their body condition. If she is coiling eggs she may eat but if you remove the eggs, wash her and the enclusure she will almost certainly eat. Add in the fact the incubator is a lot easier to manage in terms of keeping the humidity and the temps where you want them and you have the current recommended best practice.
ETA: there are many threads on here of people who have succesully done maternal incubation so it is a valid option if the care and understanding are at the correct level. It's just not something I have done myself.
