Instantly smitten. Like you said, just the right vibe.
Yesss! When you know, you just know. Love that! He was actually the 3rd one I held. 1st one was handed to me and the breeder says, "This one's a little :cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r:." lol It took about 15 sec. for me to see that one just wasn't meant for me. With the 2nd one, I was holding him and a kid walks up and says, "Ohhh look, he's wagging his tail! How cute!", and BLOOP, there it was. He takes a massive dump in my hand. So, #3 was the lucky winner!

Don't ya love it when they periscope?

I see something beautiful and find a way of getting it .. in the past I had a nucleus of keepers and others that were bought cheap or small and were traded over the years .
    I had 24 now I'm down to 7.
Snow Boa , the pair of Albino royals , the Hi White Pied , a King x Milk hybrid , my first Corn snake and a hatching Coastal King

I won't cram your thread with pics of mine , just my Pied which you may like ..

OhMyGod!! Your Pied is beautiful! So bright!

I'm thinking 6-7 will be my limit too. Monty is my 1st but I can't stop searching the interwebs for more! It's a sickness! And feel free to clog up my page with your pics! They're more than welcome!

Pffft, I laughed so loud at snake #2 taking an ill-time dump, I'm pretty sure my neighbors heard me. But hey, at least now you know that if you catch Monty "wagging" his tail, it's time to give him a wide berth and grab the cleaning supplies! Out of curiosity, do you happen to recall the morphs of the other two snakes you were considering at the time? Were they also Pastel combos like Monty?

The Corn is about 5' long and is the only one I'd trust to feed off my lap

He just walks through the food ... no striking, no coiling. Mouth open and move forwards

I'm not certain how old the pair of Albino Royals are but I've got a photo of them synchronised feeding
Everyone says Royals are poor feeders

Yea, I couldn't help but laugh when it happened. The breeders looked like they were just waiting on me to freak out but I think being a medic for the past 22 yrs. has a natural way of desensitizing you.

Both of the others were also Pastels. I knew that was the color I wanted but I just needed some time to pick up on the vibe, if possible.

Look again....there's death & destruction mixed in with a healthy dose of "world domination" behind those sweet eyes. Don't let them fool ya.

They're beautiful! Love your Corn. Yea, I haven't seen that whole "Balls are terrible feeders" situation yet. <knock on wood> But I'm sure I just got lucky.
