I call around, my vet gave me a couple names, those names gave me other names lol. I don't have a lot of options where I live so I try out the closest and go from there. So far it's worked out decently for me and I've found great ferret and reptile vets, while not local, within driving distance.

Still call around. There are four exotic specialists near me, two have opened up within the past year. None of the four is listed in ARAV, including SEAVS in northern VA which is one of the top 3 exotic specialists in the US.

Just to add - if you find a good vet there is a thread to let us know and we will add it to the existing list. We will also remove vets if they are no longer current.
We try and make it as current a list as we can but rely on our members to inform us.

7 adult Royals (2.5), 1.0 COS Pastel, 1.0 Enchi, 1.1 Lesser platty Royal python, 1.1 Black pastel Royal python, 0.1 Blue eyed leucistic ( Super lesser), 0.1 Piebald Royal python, 1.0 Sinaloan milk snake 1.0 crested gecko and 1 bad case of ETS. no wife, no surprise.

Thank you to everyone that has answered here. I will call around and have a couple picked out so I can be as prepared as possible. Living in BFE means we're pretty use to traveling for things so just knowing where we'd have to go is reassuring.
