What morph is Pancake?
[IMG][/IMG]
Sorry, I'm having a hard time figuring out images on here.
After months of research, I finally got my first ball python! Her name is Pancake. I can tell she's definitely some kind of morph, but don't know enough about the different morphs yet to know which one. I will keep trying to get more pictures up since this one doesn't do her much justice, but the site keeps saying the files are too large on the others. In most lighting, the yellow is lighter, as is the grey on her head and in the middle of some of her black markings. Her eyes are a little lighter than most I've seen, too, so that's cool. Y'all have any thoughts on what morph she may be? Thanks!

I'm still pretty new to this, so maybe take this with a grain of salt, but she looks like a pastel to me

Re: What morph is Pancake?
I've tried to ID her morph by looking at pictures of other morphs. So far, the two I think she looks most like that I've seen are firefly or super pastel vanilla. How do you tell the difference in the two? Is it something to do with their markings, or solely in the differences in the genes they get from their parents, and not so much in differences in their phenotype? Sorry y'all, I'm still pretty new to the topic of ball python morphs in general, but it's still pretty interesting to me.

The newer photos, especially the one showing the faded head and black patterning makes it clear that it is definitely a super pastel, not a single pastel.
