Axanthic Line Comparisons
Hi guys,
I'm looking at Axanthics at the moment. What is your preference on line look. Since VPI and TSK are not compatible, who prefers what?
Best,
Paul

The best line out there is VPI and that comes from someone who does not even like axanthics

But what makes it "best" - I've seen better high contrast snakes on the TSK side than the VPI Side.

Re: Axanthic Line Comparisons
I have seen nice examples of both lines and poor examples of both lines.
The truly exceptional Axanthics I have seen in person have been VPI based.

I feel as though it could be somewhat availability based. I know I have a way easier time finding VPI axanthics near me locally in TX, as well as on MorphMarket. But that could give you a reason to go TSK as well, because then your working in a specialty as it's not as common. Either one can make an amazing snake, as long as you are willing to shell out the cash for a good example of the gene.

Re: Axanthic Line Comparisons
As far as the “best” examples I’ve seen, that easily goes to the TSK lines bred by JD Constriction for their extremely white and black examples. As for the original axanthic look, VPI gets my vote. Many breeders on morph market have excellent examples like Polyamorous and The Axanthic Project. I’m waiting on The Axanthic Project owner to get back to the states now so he can ship two female hets to me.
