Axanthic Question
I’ve been seeing a few snakes here and there that are “black axanthic.” My question is, is the black axanthic the same as the VPI line? Are the black axanthics compatible with any of the axanthic lines?

Vpi founded black axanthic. Black axanthic tend to hold the silver better as adults. It is compatible with vpi however it's not the same as vpi. If that makes sense

Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired.

That isn't making sense to me, can you explain?
Sure, VPI may have founded both lines.... but
I was under the impression that black axanthic and vpi axanthic are recessive. So if you bred the two, that would result in all of the babies being double hets.
Unless it's more than just a simple recessive...?

Much like albino and toffee you still produce a visual even though it's a double het from my understanding they all look like the black axanthic or closer to Black axanthic then a normal axanthic but yes and true they would be double het

Re: Axanthic Question
Granted this is all second hand information as I don't work with black axanthic currently. I had one at one point but elected to go a different route

Black axanthic is a separate morph from regular axanthic. So while you have vpi, tsk and joliff axanthic, as far as I know, there is only one line of black axanthic. They are not allelic like albino and toffee, and when bred together will produce double hets.
Look up pictures on world of balls to see how different the black axanthics look as adults.
