ok i got to visit one of the premiere reptile shops around - The Reptile Factory. they have 3 locations and i got to visit the Orange County location.
they were in the middle of moving animals around b/c some had been sold and/or they were making space to take in (temp) rescue reptiles from all the seriously bad wildfires ripping through California right now. i still got the chance to talk to Carlos Solis, one of the co-owners. his brother is Dan Solis of Reptile Ave, who some of u know as a Retic/SD Retic breeder. they have a very nice little shop and friendly folks.
here are some pix:
yay! we're here!
nice, clean and modern!

nice size tortoises!
that's not an Albino Corn! but shhh... someone's gonna get a really, really nice deal on a nice size, well started Hypo Burm.

Asian Water Monitor
Emerald Tree Boa
that's not a Pastel Puma! but shhh... someone's gonna get a nice deal on a high white Cinny Pied.
this breeder was selling/hustling his Chameleons to the shop.
OMG OMG OMG
Mossy Leaf Tail Geckos!!
and wat's that in the middle?
OMG OMG
a YT Cribo! the baby is in blue tho.
a very cute lil monster!
store counter and rack!
a wildfire rescue Black Throat Monitor they got in the day before!
this is one of the new high-bottom ZooMeds! i walked past it a few times before i noticed there was something in there besides fish!
there's a snake!
an Indonesian Water Snake!
ok kidding aside, the mislabeled animals above are from the moves they were making the day and they didn't yet update the species/morphs on the enclosures. this location had alotta Monitors and Tegus. Carlos told me that their new Riverside location (an hour away inland) has more snakes including his brother's Retics. they sold a Platinum Tiger the day before and only had a normal hatchie in the rack at this location.
