Best substrate for BP?

I want to make the switch from paper towel today. What's the best substrate for my ball python?

I use reptibark, it doesnt stick to the food and keeps humidity quite well. If you need something else that holds humidity well mix a bit of (wet but not dripping) spagnum moss into the reptibark. Both are quite inexpensive as well for a really good looking substrate (especially on amazon)

Do you spray it down once a week for humidity, or?

Also, when she pers, will it be easy to find and scoop out?

I went into Pet Supplies and they had reptibark on sale for $7.98 . I was debating on if I should get it or not. I have a bad habit of going overboard with the shopping. Lol.

I use ReptiBark and it seems to be a great all around substrate. I did have an ingestion issue with a very small piece tonight but I’m pretty sure it won’t cause any issues. I use a squeeze type water bottle and I dampen the cool side twice a week to keep humidity in check. A spray bottle doesn’t do the job because the droplets evaporate within an hour of misting.

I use a blend of eco earth and repti-bark. I've used it for years. It holds humidity well, absorbs odor well, is easy to spot clean and looks naturalistic.

it's very easy to (spot) clean and I get a cup of water and put it in the substrate then mix the substrate around (to spread the water evenly over all of the substrate) once a week, but i've heard that you can also just spray/mist the substrate sometimes to keep it from drying too much
