Still a whole lot cheaper in the long run. The shipping is high because it's 2 day shipping with dry ice and what not.

Yeah that’s true. Probably a lot better quality animal as well. There’s no telling how long the feeders at Petco have been frozen.

Big Cheese currently have the $29 flat fee for shipping. I had been using them and so far so good. If you order 6 months worth of food, plus the flat fee, you should come out even or save some money. Even coming out even, the quality has been good and the sizes were about right except for the rat fuzzies. That rat fuzzies sizes varies a lot from being very small to big. The hoppers, mice and weaned rats that I ordered for my 6 snakes all arrived in perfect condition. No pee stains, crushed prey, etc.

Who I would not recommend for feeders is Underground Reptiles. I used to buy their feeders but no more, their staff is incompetent and the sizes are never accurate, their feeders are skin and bones covered in flea dirt, and some crushed to the point where you start to feel bad with the way these animals were treat pre and post death.

Layne Labs is great if you're on or near the West Coast. Their shipping charges are off the chart for those of us in the Southeast. Their prices are also a tad bit higher than Big Cheese or Perfect Prey but the quality of their feeders and packaging is definitely top notch.

That definitely makes sense, the eternal struggle of sourcing feeders!
