    Safe acrylic pain for hides

I'm making my own hides for my new ball python. I finished actually making them, I just need to paint them and I'd heard non-toxic acrylic paint was the best. The brand I got is Apple Barrel and it's labled as indoor/outdoor multi-surface. The back says it's water based and non-toxic. Does anyone know if this is safe to use for a hide?

As long as it's water-based and says non-toxic it should be fine.

I'd still use a non-toxic water-based sealent afterwards that's atleast water resistance, but waterproof would be best

I'll look for some waterproof sealent tomorrow. Is there one you would recommend?
