Heat for 41q rack

So I'm in the process of finding a 41qt rack and finding ranges from 3" heat to 12". I would settle for 6 but I found a guy with a 11 shelf recessed 3" heat. Would this be adequate for my adult girls?

Been using 3 inches for over a decade with no issue.

Depends on your ambient room temp. If your snake room runs a little warm then it'll be fine. Some folks have pretty cold houses though, especially in the winter, so they would want 11" tape in their racks.

My snakes are in there own room. So I keep just one vent partially open to make ambient around 82. Thanks for the info deb!
