    Going on vacation!

    Hey!

I need some tips and any advice from you guys!

I'm leaving for North Carolina on the 20th and need some tips for Olive's care. I thought would get ready early.

    1) I will feed her right before we leave, so that won't be a problem.

    2) The temperature will be fine, I have everything set and my parents have AC on while we're gone and so the sitter won't have to check temps. Do you think that would be fine?

    3) I usually wet her eco earth once a week and it stays above 50% all week, should I have pet sitter even check the humidity?

Pretty much all the sitter will be doing is checking her water bowl and that she is safe. Does this sound fine?

Oh, and I will be leaving on the 20th and coming home the 24th.

Please let me know what you think and if I'm missing anything!!

I think as long as you feed her first, wet her eco earth before you leave and have her check to make sure your equipment is working he should be fine while you’re gone.

Agree w/ Karleejoe, and 4 days isn't very long...wouldn't worry, plan sounds fine.

Okay great! Thank you both for the input!

If I were to ever go on a trip longer than 4 days, what would your maximum days be of doing this kind of routine?

Cease all feeding at least a week before leaving.

    1) hold off on feeding. The snake will be fine going without for an extra 4 days. This is in case of any regurge or anything else while you're gone.

    2) as long as your heat sources are regulated by a thermostat there shouldn't be a problem unless there's a heat wave.

    3) why not have the sitter check the humidity? It can't hurt. Just teach how to mist properly without soaking the substrate just in case.

I would have the sitter check temps, humidity, equipment properly working. Basically everything you would check. If the sitter is only checking water and the t-stat fails or whatever, then your snake could be in trouble.
