    i agree w/ this.

i think everyone did a pretty good job based off one pix IMO.

could u post the whole clutch? i would love to see some of the comparisons.

So how is the determination being made that the animal is vanilla and not fire?
Honest, I only need one more ...

I sent the photo to a few couple big breeders and they all seem to think vanilla.

Did they tell you why? I hope you do not think I am giving you a hard time. I am really interested in how they are arriving at that or are they just guessing. I have a nightmare breeding myself this year. I normally avoid these type of breedings because I want to be really sure of what comes out, however the gravel gene is in play so I did a Pastel/Spark/YB x Highway. In theory I could tell them apart but some of the possible combos are very, very close.

Yeah I agree. Vanilla and fire in one clutch was definitely risky. I’m still asking around and getting more opinions. Do you definitely see vanilla or fire? I definitely see more than pastel enchi and leopard.

I am going to say I am not qualified to make the determination. I don't work with the gene, and from the pictures I have seen they look pretty much the same to me until a super or als is produced. That said when I started I couldn't tell a phantom from a mojave now they are night and day, so these guys could be seeing things that I cannot yet.

I primarily work with BEL complex, enchi and lavender. This is my first year doing YB complex. Next will be my first with fire. So I am willing to play the the guessing game, but I cannot give you a definitive on anything other than what I work with and sometimes even those make me wonder with certain combos. I have a few "mystery" snakes myself.

I would guess that they are right, vanilla because the vanilla super is not white and the fire is so i am assuming that vanilla is going to be darker than fire. But... I am not sure how much the leopard darkened things up.

Rechecked and most agree vanilla is present. Obviously can’t be 100% but more than likely has the vanilla gene.

One parent was Vanilla Scream so it has to have either Fire or Vanilla in it. I’d vote Vanilla too
