Craigslit find. Not for me but was interesting.
Found this on Craigslist.
https://houston.craigslist.org/pet/d...624482209.html
I don't do hots but was interesting to see.
No I am not advertising for them. Just was interesting.

Hats off to keepers of hots. For me the risk is not worth the gain so I wouldn't enjoy keeping it fearing death daily lol.

Not easily, or so I've read. But going thru whatever legal channels is the "only" way, IMO...so do your homework. It's SO NOT worth getting busted for.

Personally, cobras aren't for me, too squirrelly!* I actually had one for a while (long story) years ago, along with some other venomous "illegal aliens" that were
dumped on me. Fish & Game folks are really nice when you call them & ask what to do- but if they're knocking on your door because of a tip, hmm, not so much.
(*but I safely enjoyed keeping various rattlesnakes for 20 years)
If you're serious about working with a cobra, you should have experience with calmer hots first, IMO...and practice by keeping something harmless like a racer as if
it was venomous for a while. Nothing wrong with being fascinated by these creatures, but living with them is another matter...and the key word IS "living".

I saw a cinnamon rattlesnake on Craigslist once. It was tempting, but I'm not sure I want to get into hots. Definitely not until the kids are out of the house.

Thanks for the tips.
I would love to have a Naja Naja and a Bitis Gabonica.
