Re: Need help with a rescue pueblan please.
Far from am expert, but aren't pueblans one of the smaller milk snake species? 2-2.5 feet is probably a bit small, but if memory serves, their average is 3 or 4 feet.
I know hondurans are a bigger species, and I've got one that's at most 10 months old (didn't find out a hatch date) and over 60 grams. He does take the smallest hoppers out of my bag of them just fine, so after gradually building up the food size, that should definitely be feasible at whatever weight he builds up to in 10 or so meals. (Typically mine gets the 7 or 8 gram hoppers, the bigger ones go to my corn snake who's larger than him).
Here's him from last feeding with an 8 gram hopper.

Yes, somewhere around 3-4' for adults. And they have a more slender build than a typical king snake.

So this little man (or chick) is so inquisitive. I talk to him and he is so attentive. He watches me and flicks his tongue. He seems happy. And he is now burrowing and not on top of the aspen like he was all the time. I think he likes the red bulb over the bright uv bulb. I think he is hungry but I can't feed him yet. He is giving me the snakey eyes.
We we are thinking the name Vulcan because my son said something describing metal.

Re: Need help with a rescue pueblan please.
The king snakes are the champion busybodies at our house, but the Hondo is often watching what’s going on, too.
The 445-gram probably-Nelson’s milk snake and the 300-ish gram Mexican king both take small adult mice (based on Big Cheese sizing), and have been for a while, so I expect your Pueblan to be able to take something bigger if he gets some growth.

78grams? for an 8yr old?! oh my goodness! that's bb bp weight. a bubble tea straw is like 3/4 to 1 inch thick so u can suck tapioca balls. are u sure your scale is accurate? he can't be 78grams, 2-2.5ft and thick as the average bubble tea straw.
either way, glad he found his way to u.

I don't know.. the weight/size seems feasible to me. The age is really unfortunate to be so small, but the length to weight description sounds accurate.
My corn is close to 1 year old now, and is approx 2.5 feet and 115 grams. The bubble tea straw is not a bad approximation for a milksnake that has less weigh by 30 grams and has some visible spine/not completely round shape. My guy is probably a bit bigger around than the straw, but I don't have bubble tea often, so my memory could be off. I don't remember seeing any all that big tho. 1" sounds huge. I'd have said they were on the 3/4" end. 3/4" sounds about right for my corn at his thickest.

ok i literally just ran out to buy Matcha Milk Tea w/ Tapioca and Egg Pudding:
my memory deceived me. the straw is only a half-inch (at leas at this shop).
Edit: Tofu my Corn was also just 115grams a few months back. i guess 78grams is plausible. i think the bigger shock is the size at age 8!
