He's been bitten.........
By the bug!
My son has had Mia for 3 months now, and he's got B.P.F. (Ball Python Fever!!) and is actually looking at maybe getting another one. (just looking, hasn't really decided 100% yes or no yet) but I'm leaving it up to him, he's a big boy.
Right now he is in another state, he went for a job interview.... so he'll be moving out soon. (so new snake won't come until after he moves anyway)
I am going to miss this kid to death, he's such a great young man ... but momma has to cut the apron strings one day huh? I have grown pretty fond of little Mia, gonna miss that little bugger also.
So what my son is looking for is a Blue Eyed Lucy? (did i say that right?)

Aww, sounds like you'll be needing your own BP pretty soon? As to your question about a Blue Eyed Lucy, everyone will know what you mean by "Lucy" but it's
short for "leucistic" so you'll see it spelled other ways too, just to confuse...

So sweet - you're gonna miss both of them I'm sure!
Yes, Blue Eyed Lucys, or BELs, are short for Blue Eyed Leucistic. There are a number of morph combinations that make a blue-eyed white snake. Some have faint yellow or gray markings, some stay stark white. There are a few threads out there talking about BELs and the combos used to get them. Some have been disappointed because their BELs weren't that white, or didn't stay bright white. So if that's what he decides on, he'll want to research the morph combos that get him what he wants.
A BEL happens to be what I have - my boy Neptune. He's a Lesser Mojave.

If he's the one in your picture, he's gorgeous!

He is and thank you! I couldn't be more proud of him if I gave birth to him myself. He's my little treasure.

Well then, welcome to the club! I've honestly been looking at BELs myself, now that I got a rack with an empty shelf or two...wallet says otherwise currently, though.
I wish your son the best of luck at his job interview, and just think, once he leaves the nest, you have a room to fill with a snake collection of your own!

Snakes are just like cats if you want one, then you will want a half dozen more.
