    BCI or BCC or mix?

I'm curious if this snake being sold is a BCI or maybe a BCI/BCC mix? It's being sold as suriname.

Looks like a bcc Suriname to me , the deep bat saddles and gorgeous red tail
Be very surprised if it was a bci

Scale counts are the best way to tell but it's not an exact science:

    BCC
scale counts - 75 to 95 dorsal rows
    227 to 250 ventrals
    49 to 62 subcaudals

    BCI
scale counts - 56 to 79 dorsal rows
    225 to 253 ventrals
    47 to 65 subcaudals

I would hazard to say that's a BCC based on the peaks of the saddles and the redness of the tail, but I'm no expert

Thanks for your thoughts! I ask because the redness of the tail doesn't seem as vibrant as some other BCC Ive seen, and the peaks in the saddles are not as prominent in certain areas. I'm no expert either though, it could be a "low quality" BCC... LOL

There are so many variants in bcc as with all snakes ,
you get what you pay for I’m afraid, like buying a pedigree dog with all it’s papers. These show that lineage etc
the higher contrast ones and the most vibrant ones are big bucks im afraid
Still not too bad a colour tho

Looks BCC to me. I personally like a little peak to the saddles but not something like a Mega Peaks Suriname. Not really a fan of those. The tail looks red to me. I like them with a nice blood red tail like this....

I love the blood red and bright whites in their tail. I like big peaks too, though I'm also not really a fan of mega peaks.

This isn't my snake, just one I saw on craigslist and was curious about the type. I'm a little more picky if I were to get a BC!

I hear ya. I was picky about BCC too. Then i saw Gina along with another female and male that Chris Wolf was selling. Luckily, i got Gina. He sold the male and 2 females in about an hour of posting them up lol.
