That’s another definite BBC, almost looks like a Guyana maybe? I swear I posted before I read the last page. Used to be a big Peter Kahl fan!

It’s hard to tell the different localities really in my opinion. But all good with me. Same guy also had a nice dumerals about 4ft tried to buy as well but says already sold and waiting for pickup. Feels good to be back in the hobby still have 2 empty stackables. Guess I gotta fill em lol

BCC and the difference between a Guyana and Suriname is a river and a political border, Unless you or the breeder know exactly where it or the parents were collected, it's just a BCC.

True, although Gus Rentfro and Vin Russo have been able to spot differences in boas that come from certain areas in the region.

Your Gina is one of those boas. A Suriname but a very different type. A very beautiful type to boot!!

Bcc Guyana, most Suriname I've seen tend to be much darker, though not as dark as Peruvians.

yes, this was something we used to all discuss back on the kingsnake boa forums. That's how I won my hog isle from Gus actually, he did a survey for what people would think is an ideal example from either Suri or Guyana and then did a random drawing of all the respondents. General thoughts were Suris were more pink with sharper peaks and Guyanas were more purple with rounded peaks as well as a few other differences. Lots of boas would cross the 'border' and be exported from Suri as that was generally the more desirable of the localities. This was before it was generally considered the same and people started calling Northern Shield boas as it's basically all the same area.
There's an informative post from this old forum that talks about Suri vs Guayana as a locality:
