Re: Burlesque dancer and healthcare professional with a new snake daughter!
Welcome! Beautiful snake!
Let us know if you have any questions on the BP; care, feeding, etc. although it sounds like she's doing great! We are happy to help!
Honestly, the hairless cat freaks me out a little, if I'm being honest. I am sure he's awesome and a great cat, but I can't get over his looks .
All kidding aside, I would recommend keeping them separated. The BP is not a threat to the cat, but the cat could really hurt the BP.
Good luck and keep us in the loop as the little girl grows!

I will definitely reach out if I have any concerns! Thanks! So far I have had no problem keeping her temperature gradient and her humidity up, she’s been eating wonderfully, and her temperament has been so kind it’s to die for. As far as her and my cat go, I definitely keep them separated. I have very gradually been exposing them to one another indirectly, and a few times taking my snake out while my cat is in the same room and twice while he is close by, so that I can be aware of how they interact. And I literally do not think I could convince my cat to care about my snake. Luckily my cat doesn’t even care about birds or rodents outside of the window. He has literally zero hunting desires from what I’ve noticed over the past 3 1/2 years with him. And my slow exposure to one another has gone extremely well. I don’t know if my cat fully recognize it but the snake is even a living creature. thank goodness!!
