There's four garter snakes hidden in this picture, can you find all of em? Well there's four and a half cuz one is on the edge. I only saw 3 when I took the picture.

snakes have such perfect stealth, that copperhead has such awesome camo.

I moved to North Carolina in 2004. I will never forget the first time I ever saw a fat, autumn-leaves-colored snake near my feet in a blackberry thicket on a hiking trip! It was so cool, I moved the thorns aside and watched it slowly slither away from my feet in the brush.

When i got home, i did an internet search for “gold leaf snake in north carolina” and discovered l was standing on top of a copperhead the whole time!!!
