Horrible shed impacting Spurs?
I have 2 BPs, one normal and one Banana. The Banana is almost 2 and has never had a decent shed in his life.
My normal has consistently shed in on piece, or at least shes been able to get the stragglers off her within the same day. The Banana on the other hand, always has issues. I'm able to assist him with getting his eye caps off, and normally have to assist him with 90% of his shed. I know humidity is key, and I will confess my tanks are on the dry side (they're both moving to tubs in about a week so hopefully this is all solved then).
I've also noticed that the Banana's shed is incredibly thin, as opposed to the more hearty shed skin of my Normal. IDK if this is common or not, but it could have some part in why it's drying out faster?
Last question, I promise. I was assisting the Banana last night, and noticed his spurs aren't looking right... There are clumps of possibly skin on them (I cannot remove them) any they're brown from feces I assume. How should I go about getting these off without hurting him?

I would, but I'm at work. When I get off I'll update the thread.

I’m a little concerned you had an animal that hasn’t shed proper in two years, that’s a concern that should of been addressed like, two years ago. Sorry, but that’s the reality of it.

You need to mist constantly. Humidity must be at 60% at all times and raise to 70 when you see the first sign of the shed cycle.

As mentioned ... A few photos of both but especially the troublesome one will be very helpful.
I'm wondering if one or even both maybe slightly dehydrated .....

I know I didn't get pictures on here, but the issue has been resolved. Just soaked him for 30 minutes and tinkered around with his spurs until the skin came off. Looks like it was the remnants of last shed, plus a little poo for color.

Did you get your tubs set up? Are you still having issues with humidity?

Still haven't got the tubs set up (plan on doing it this Saturday), I covered the top of the cages with plastic wrap which is helping in the meantime.
