Baby Dumeril’s still has umbilical opening?

Hey guys, quick question...I’ve never purchased a boa that still had a “belly button” where the umbilical cord fell off. It’s dry and clean, but how old are they before that opening seals shut?

The breeder/seller claimed the baby Dumeril’s was 4 months old. But I just got him today and he is tiny and still has the opening? Much smaller than my female when I got her. But she was about 6 months old when I got her.

Was just curious. I spritzed down his reptichip bedding to add some extra moisture to his new enclosure because of it, and he has a good sized water bowl, but I’m not sure if I should be doing something extra for such a youngin.

He said the baby has eaten every Monday for more than 8 weeks. I was just skeptical that the baby is actually as old as he said.

    Thanks guys!

An actual hole/opening is still there?
It should have closed up when the umbilical dropped.
    Can you get a photo?
