    RB VE-2 Heat Tape

So I am just curious if anyone has experienced this with heat tape.

I have a VE-2 and the heat tape on the top level is at 93F which is what I have the thermostat set to, but I have been messing with the bottom tub because I have a second BP coming in soon, and I haven't checked the tape today, but it has seemed to always be 10F lower than the portion of the tape on the level directly above it. I know that heat tape is never the same throughout but is it common for the heat difference to be that much in such a short distance?

    Re: RB VE-2 Heat Tape

It is located on top of the heat tape in the center of it through this little canal RB has cut out for the probe to fit in.

Also I used an IR gun to measure the temperature of the tape itself on the bottom and top section of the rack
