A while back on the retic nation someone reported that he was carrying his snake through the kitchen after eating dinner, and the snake snatched the remains of a whole cooked chicken or turkey off of a platter on the counter.

Some of my snakes do get whole chickens and quail from a local producer who has free-range birds, I get her culls.

ha! Ball pythons are so finicky, I doubt I could get one to eat a hot dog, even if I wanted too. It is hard enough to get them to eat thawed rats. I will get some hot dogs and use the blow dryer method just to see. lol

Re: Feeding snakes human type food not of the usual diet

The biggest concern of a snake eating a hot dog for bumans is the sodium levels are 500+ mg. Quick way to dehydrate a snake. Other raw foods like chicken, pork, or beef I like way too well to share with any of my snakes.
Ball Pythons are for reptile lovers. Giant Pythons are for snake lovers.
