so i just bought my first hoggie, shipping tomorrow! im purchasing mice right now but i dont know what size. shes 10g right now so i dont know whether to buy 1-2g or 2-3g or what!

also is perfect prey a good site? i was gonna order from american rodent supply but they have a minimum of $50

At 10 grams all you need are regular sized pinkies no need for extra small (extra small are usually hours old whereas the others are 1 to 4 days old).

If some appear too big because there is always variance in a bag use the biggest one last, and keep in mind that hognose are capable of eating a prey up to 1.5 times their girth size.

Perfect Prey is great and one of the preferred suppliers in the community! You can also order smaller quantity items from them. Big Cheese Rodent factory is also another favorite with a fairly cheap flat shipping rate but no smaller quantity order options. Both are highly regarded.

yeah! im only going to order 50 but i am gonna go through them. should last me at least 6 months and by then i’ll probably switch sizes or be feeding multiples till i run out.
