Ball Python Shopping List (Please Review!)

Hello! I’ve been researching Bps for almost a year now and I’ve finally decided to get one!
I’ve put together a shopping list/check list for it, but I would like someone (who has owned Bps) to review it and make sure I have everything. Because I really don’t want to put everything together, get my snake, and then realize I forgot something. (Accidentally did that with my Leopard Gecko...)

So! If someone could look this list over, I’d greatly appreciate it!

    - Enclosure (I’m going with a tub setup.)
    - Eco Earth (Or paper towels...not too sure what I want to go with.)
    - Acu-rite Thermometer/Hygrometer
    - Temperature Gun
    - Hides
    - Water Dish
    - Heat Mat
    - Thermostat
    - Decoration (for clutter)
    - Binder Clips (To secure the lid)
    - Spray Bottle
    - ReptiSafe Water Conditioner
    - Feeding Tongs
    - Frozen Rats/Mice
    - Cleaning Disinfectant (I think I’m just gonna use vinegar and water....Any opinions on this?)

    Am I missing anything?

Also, everything will be setup two weeks in advance!
Thanks everyone! And Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁

How warm is the room you are keeping it in? Tubs ambient temperature is not going to be raised by and under tank heater so if the room gets below 75 degrees there is a good chance you will need supplemental heating. Since it will be setup in advance, you can make sure temps are right.

Around 75 degrees, but I have a plan if it goes below that.

Make sure to look at their vendor list and research all the vendors before you go, not all the vendors at expos are good.

Alright, I’ll make sure to do that! Thank you very much!

Also, I have a question. Are the breeder’s at the NARBC normally pretty good? Because I went there in September and all of the vendor’s reptiles looked good in health... (But I have a long list I will be bringing with me to check for common external parasites, diseases, and infections before I buy... and just a long list of questions to ask the breeder)

I've never been but i know that narbc is a pretty well known show. I'm pretty sure 99% of the vendors there are good to go, if not 100%. Worst comes to worst, check out the reputable vendors first to see if they have what your looking/interested in first before you check out any of the less known vendors. Regardless whoever you go with there, I don't think youll have have any problems. Just Don't be afraid to ask the breeders questions, especially if you don't know of them!
