Just trying to see if it's a good place to order from. I need to put in a large order

There was a rather interesting discussion about RP in the Facebook group The Retic Nation over the past few days.

Re: Anyone use rodent pro?
I used Rodent Pro a couple of times before but moved away from them because the feeders I received were heavily soiled and smelly. I've used Perfect Prey for the last few years with no issues. I just wish they sold rabbits.

Yeah, that discussion worries me a bit as I just got a large order from them a few weeks ago. All seems to be well but nonetheless it gives me concern

Rodent pro is a poor quality big frozen feeder business. They constantly have "weekly specials" that can save you several dollars but that comes with a price, in that their quality is extremely poor and the feeders mostly underweight. Big Cheese is who i use, and their feeders are vacuum packed for freshness and are overall unparalled to Rodent Pro.

Big Cheese would be at the top of my list too AL. My only issue with them is that they're often out of the feeder sizes I need especially medium and large rats. Other than that their quality is top notch.

Gotcha EL! I heard you say that before. I have in the past and continue to alternate with Perfect Prey as well. They are the other high quality feeder business.

I have only used Big Cheese and Perfect Prey depending on needs and if one is out of stock. Never have had a problem with either of the companies.
I hear about these packaging issues and quality of rodent pro but that has only been stories, I have never dealt with them. One thing I am not big on is their order size. For smaller prey they sell 100 per package which is too much for me to order at once so I have never gone with them.

I have purchased from rodent pro 4 times now (all rats of various sizes) and have never had an issue. I however recently found a local rat breeder that says he will match their prices to get my business so i will probbably give that guy a shot.

Re: Anyone use rodent pro?
I've been using a local breeder (supplies lab quality mice/rats/rabbits to some local pet stores and the Buffalo Zoo as well) but his prices are a bit high. With my collection expanding as much as it has, I looked at Rodent Pro (RP). I'm all about supporting the local guy but when the price is 3x higher and he wouldn't negotiate, I had to do what's best for my bank account.
Fortunately, before I did order from RP a friend of mine ordered a surplus because of a special they were running and offered his overstock to me at less than the price he paid. I noticed right away the mice had an odor and found half mice mixed in the bag as well (yes, 2 heads and 1 headless body).
When I mentioned placing an order in bulk to a trusted breeder (Ike from Ike's Exotics and Aquatics) suggested Reptilinks. I contacted them with a few questions and received a return message rather quickly.
I placed my order with Nick at Reptilinks and will see how things go when, hopefully, I receive it next week.
