Silvadene creme seems to work best on burns like this, but you will have to get it from the Vet ! Please ask the vet about that.
Until then, keep the snake very clean. Either un-printed news paper or white paper towels. Keep the stress low.

Absolutely control the UTH now. There is no waiting on that. There are thermostats for $20 on Amazon, Jumpstart is a brand that can be used until there are funds for something better.

Provide a lot of privacy for the snake to keep stress down, black out the sides, back and top of the tank, creating a "cave" of sorts. You can tape dark paper on the outside of the tank.
See if the vet will let you buy some Silvadene ahead of the appointment if you share pictures and talk to them. The sooner you get some proper treatment on that, the better ..

You need to control the heat !

Unplugging it is a quick fix, but you need the RIGHT heat going. Get a cheap thermostat (jumpstart/amazon) or at least a rheostat.

Keep the baby on clean paper towels. Clean and sterile. Nothing but hides, water dish and paper towels. Darken the enclosure by taping dark paper on sides, back of the tank (tape only on outside) Cover the top. Give privacy.

    Vet, vet, vet.

You need something ASAP to prevent infection and to aid in healing. Silvadene creme is awesome, but is by prescription only..

Silvadene is available online at http://www.mountainside-medical.com/ and they will sell it without a prescription. Vetericyn also is good for burns on reptiles, you can get it from Amazon or Petco, though Silvadene is better.

Buy a thermostat and make a vet appointment. If your snake is on natural substrate replace it with paper.
