The more I look at your photo, the more I think it's a [harmless] water snake...they are heavier bodied like this one appears to be. I hope they leave it alone,
    or just relocate it.

I tend to agree with you. It almost looks like the 1st picture in this post which was identified as a water snake. My son and I went looking for it tonight but we’re unable to locate it.

    Re: Found this Snake Tonight.

Found this little guy in the yard today. He was completely tame and proved to be a great teaching tool for the young ones. I believe he’s a Northern Brown Snake.

Well, what a little cutie! Looks like he's been eating well too?

Yup he’s a northern brown and some people call them dekays brown snake. I caught one inside the shop I work at. I still have her and she’s awesome. Her favorite food is night crawlers and she eats from my hand. They are awesome little snakes.

Thumbs up Re: Found this Snake Tonight.

I put a small bowl in the fork of a branch that I have in her tank and she stays there a lot. I also made a hide at work from some scrap pieces of wood and that’s where she drags her night crawlers to eat lol

That's so interesting. Appreciate you sharing that. I kept him in a bucket for a little while before I was going to take him and put him back near a creek. Before I could rehome him, he had escaped and wondered off. Neat little creature.
