    Meet my little marble

We got my son the snake he's been asking for the last few years for his birthday in June. The family has been enjoying it so much I decided to get my own. So last Thursday this little gem arrived. Since his is male, I got a girl just in case we decide to let them hook up down the road.

I know it's early but she's been out hunting nights and the breeder said she was due for a meal the day she shipped. She had been fed a live hopper so I was a little nervous about trying the switch to f/t but as you can see, it went off without a hitch. She did hit the tongs twice at first and I dropped the first mouse. I was concerned that she was just defensive striking so I just got a second mouse instead of going in to retrieve the first one. That one she nailed and completely coiled around. She even had the head turned sideways and still sucked it down. You could see the nose poking out almost all the way down. Since I have fuzzies and she's been on hoppers, I offered her the second and she slurped it right up.

Still haven't decided on a name yet. I was thinking Snickety Lemon but the rest of the family isn't very excited about that. My wife says Eve or Chiquita since she does look a bit like a ripe banana but she's not a banana. Don't guess it really matters, she won't come no matter what we call her.

This girl does not mess around at feeding time. Why waste time trying to find the head when I can just eat that fuzzy butt fist. Yes, that's the nose sticking out. Lol! This little girl is going to be lots of fun!!

When it comes to names, take your time. A proper name will just find its way into your vocabulary. As you pointed out the snake itself cares zero about what you call it, so just call it whatever.

For example, I call my new ghost morph python, "ghost". Because well....you guess why. Its just easy, and we all know which snake I'm talking about when I say "ghost".
