    Always in cold hide?

    Hi all,
Wanda has been stressing me out again She seems to always go in her cold hide, no matter what. She has the exact same hide on both sides, the hot side is on average 32C (about 89F), and cold side is 27C (About 80F) in the night and can get up to 30C (About 86F) during the day. She has fed twice now, and hasn't had a problem with digesting... I'm just worried because I read somewhere the other day that they can die if they get too cold... Any ideas why she won't go in her hot hide? What can I do? How will I know if she's getting too cold?
Thanks all, please help put my mind at rest

It doesn't matter as long as the temps in the entire tank is within acceptable numbers.

None of my snakes use their hotspot often.

Majority of BPs I've seen only use their hot hide on occasion, usually after a meal. This is absolutely normal behavior, if they spend a lot time in the hot hide that's more cause for concern (aka the enclosure temps may not be high enough, thus forcing the snake to use only the hot hide).

Agreed with everything above. My Danger would rather be poorly hidden on his cool side (he likes to "hide" under and around lots of things) than use his great and identical hide on the warm side. Even then he's usually only on the warm side after he's eaten.

Oddly enough, he ONLY uses the reptile basics hide on the hot side. On the cool side he's usually hiding under fake plants or around a log hide...I've never seen him use his reptile plastics hide on the cool side even when I've moved it to places he seems to like.
