    Vanilla X Vanilla Clutch

I only ended up with 5 eggs and one went bad during incubation. Of the four left I ended up wit 0.0.3 Vanilla and 0.0.1 Super Vanilla. Once the shed and I sex them I'll post some individual pics. Thanks for looking.

Very nice!! And great timing. Perhaps you can help a few of us out who had a question in a previous thread. I read somewhere that vanillas can be identified by a characteristic "moustache". My vanilla boy does have what looks like a moustache. Coincidence? Or is there truth to vanillas having this moustache? I only saw it in one place, so until I see/read more evidence of it being true, I only take it for what it is...

    Thanks in advance!!

I have 2 adult and 4 hatchling Vanillas and not one of them has a moustache. Unless you mean a white one, they in fact have a lack of a moustache. I identify a Vanilla by coloration, brightness, blushing, the presence of a head stamp or blushed head, and of course if the parents are carrying the gene.

Hmmmm...well I guess that squashes what I read somewhere. That's why I almost never believe just one source, unless of course I know the person is reliable, but even then I like to be able to cite more than one source.
Now I'm kinda questioning if my boy is, in fact, a vanilla...
    Thank you!

I just thought I would post a couple updated pics of the Super Vanilla. He has a nice gold look to him.
