VIP constrictors on MorphMarket

I was not wronged by them in the sense of taking a loss but I would caution against using them. They had a female on my wish list for a couple weeks and today they dropped her price to 1$ ( originally was a bit over 100 iirc) and the posting said they needed to make room. Seemed odd but I looked and they had a 2nd female and dropped her to 1$ also. So, I inquired about how much to ship them to me and was told 750$..... which I assumed they meant 75 and during a back and forth exchange was told to contact them if I ever decided to get "serious" and no one would really sell them for 1$.

I reported their posts on MorphMarket as fraudulent and as of the posting of this he still had one listed as a dollar and the other now shows sold. The fact it was still listed as a dollar and both were changed kinda kills the "mistake" narrative

I found it odd, inquired and was given a bait and switch. I would just want others to be cautious if they list more items. For the record, I'm not upset they didn't sell to me as the 1$, I'm, just not a fan of bait and switch

I know I'm new here as well, but if a mod wanted to verify my post I have screenshots I could text them of the listings and the back and forth

Many vendors will list like that on some sites to draw attention to their ads.

I would disagree, listing for one price and then asking for another on a non auction site seems to fit the bill. But, feel free to delete this if you disagree. Thats the first time I ran into that on 7 purchases now on that site

I hate when vendors do that. Just tell them to list it for the price they want to sell it for and not to play games.

As for them saying no one would ever sell it for $1, ask them then why did they list it for $1 and not the true price they were looking to get.

As for telling you to contact them when you get 'serious', I would have told them there are a lot of other breeders out there who have much better manners so i will give them my thousands of dollars. Have a nice day.

I personally have never even heard of VIP constrictors and after the 'get serious' comment, i know i wont deal with them. I've never had a breeder be rude like that. Personally would have irked me and i probably would told him off lol. But thats me. All the breeders I've dealt with were more than happy to answer any questions and usually they ended up getting the sale as i wouldnt want to waste mine and their times asking a bunch of stuff unless i was interested in the animal.

That was my thinking. I didn't take a loss, I just didn't agree with their method of business. I don't think their intention was to be rude per say, I think we just ran into a communication disconnect when the price became 748$ more than advertised

I have a high standard and the persons I have purchased from on that site thus far have been very stand up and up front. I've grown accustomed to that level I suppose.

This type of activity is unethical. I would not buy anything from these people, board member or not, once I have seen this type of behavior.

I agree, and they are pushing those 2 snakes on every forum. I laughed and thought to myself that I wont support people in this community that lacks ethics..
