    More poop questions...

On one of the LiveJournal communities I'm a part of, a girl mentioned that her ball seemed impacted (i.e. he was bulging at the anal spurs). He was passing urates, but along with the urates came "a bunch of brown fluid". Could this be diarrhea of some sort? Do balls even get diarrhea? If so, what causes it? I told her I'd ask for some expert opinions here, but of course, I told her to consult the vet because that just doesn't seem healthy. I also passed along tips for soaking to remove impacted waste. Any help is much appreciated!

Diarrhea could be a result of parasites, I believe. I know they cause it in the four legged variety, and I think it's the same for bps as well. I agree with you, it sounds like a trip to the vet is in order. I've never encounter that before, but it definitely doesn't sound good. Fortunately my two have been pretty healthy from the start.

If it is frequent runny brown waste, I would suggest getting her to a vet with a fecal sample. That can be the sign of intestinal parasites. I bought a wild caught bp once It pooped like that....then died the next day

Alrighty, thanks guys! I passed along the info to her. She said she's going to soak him and try to collect a fecal sample from that and get her ball to the vet ASAP.
