Accidentally squeezed ball my ball python
So I have about a month long pastel ball python. Hes healthy and I got him about 4 weeks ago, he ate about a two days back and recently I began handling him. He's very docile, no hissing, no balling up, completely relaxed and very inquisitive. And naturally a lot of my relatives were ecstatic about my snake and they wanted to see him. I would never let them hold him because Im paranoid against that, but I did let them touch him and one of my uncles was Id say a little too rough for my taste when he started petting the mid section of his body. Like squeezing him and prodding a little too tightly for my taste and I ofcourse quickly moved him away. He didnt show any discomfort or any problem with it but Im worried anything happened. Long story short my question is can that kind of poking and squeezing seriously harm him and if so what should I look for because I didnt notice anything wrong with him?

I seriously doubt your uncle was rough enough to harm the snake.
Snakes are extremity strong, especially constrictors which are designed to squeeze with incredible power. Keeping my large Blood under control I've had to squeeze her pretty good and have never harmed her.
I'd say you're being over protective.

Also Ive heard this myth that you can tell a ball pythons stress level by their eyes, like if they're completely dilated then theyre stressed. Im curious if theres any truth to that

Re: Accidentally squeezed ball my ball python
The only time I've seen a change in my BP's eyes is going from low to high light situations or vice versa.
