Moving
As some may know, my girl just came off a 6-month fast in April and has only recently started eating again. We moved her into our new apartment yesterday and got her all set up. 40-gal tank, UTH and great bulb hooked to thermostats, basking 90° yada yada. You know the drill for that. Well, my question was how soon should I feed her? She hadn't eaten for about 5 days before the move, but I've heard you want to wait like a week because of stress. She didn't seem stressed. In fact, since her tank hadn't really changed, she seemed pretty well-adjusted. The first thing she did was take a drink of water, a quick look around the tank, and then sleep. Would it be fine to stay on schedule or should I skip a feeding anyway?

I've moved with my snakes a couple times in the last year and I never waited for them to adjust, they did just just fine. I'd go ahead and stick with her normal feeding schedule, but if it makes you feel better to wait do what you think is best for her.
1.0 Normal (Emrys)
0.1 Fire (Calypso)
0.1 Pied (Tessa)
0.1 Albino Kingsnake (Nienna)
2.1 Cats (Suki, Daisuke, and Kyo)
0.0.2 Leopard Geckos (Chi and Pixel)

Re: Moving
Neither option will hurt her. Only risk is a wasted rat. Pick whichever you prefer.
1.0 Pastel yellowbelly ball python -Pipsy
2.0 Checkered garter snakes - Hazama & Relius
1.0 Dumeril's boa - Bazil

Okay, thanks. I just wanted to make sure I want going to over stress her by trying. I know sometimes they don't show when they're having problems. Silly critters can be so hard to read!
