    Pooping question

So I've had my BP for about 5 weeks now.. He is about 300 grams.. He has shed once.. It didn't come shed all in one piece but a few large pieces and the eye caps def came off because I saw them on the head piece.. He has just eaten for the third time.. I feed him adult mice approx 20 grams each.. Once he started eating, which was almost immediately, I give him one every 7-8 days.. He hasn't pooped yet.. Any reason to be concerned? He should be ready I would think..

no reason to be concerned, bps can go quite a while without pooping
since your bp is still young, he is using most of the prey item for growth, so not much waste is produced.

ive had my young bp for five months and he has only pooped twice.

how is your humidity? bad sheds happen to everybody, just make sure your temps and humidity are okay

If I'm being honest I don't know the humidity.. his temps are good.. 89-90 under his hide, 82-84 on the cooler side ..I live in Pennsylvania which is a pretty humid environment, but not too high.. I wouldn't say he had a bad shed.. it all came off, just in a few large pieces.. it was all off before I even noticed he was shedding.. Is that bad?

    yes, temps are good.

i live in new jersey and it can be pretty humid at times too. however during the winter the humidity is lower so it is important, at least for me, to keep track of it.
don't worry this is not a major issue but here is a hygrometer i found on amazon.

your humidity should be fine most of the time on its own (50%-60%) but when you notice he is in shed it is better to bump up the humidity to 70%-80%.
in this case just get a spray bottle and spray a few times when needed.

other than that all i have to say is, you're doing fine. sometimes i get very anxious thinking about if i did something wrong, if my snake was going to be okay, etc. you've only had him for a month and you're still learning. so don't sweat it too much.

I'm the same way..lol.. I get freaked out and want everything to be perfect.. I didn't even realize he was going into shed.. since I just got him I wasn't mucking with him too much to let him get adjusted.. he didn't come out of his hide for two days( which was unusual because he comes out every night).. When he did emerge he was getting the last of his shed off.. I will definitely try the spray bottle when I see him getting ready to shed.. thanks for your suggestions.. I am new to this.. I am glad he's eating and acting normal.. Now I just have to get use to handling him..

Unrelated, I laughed when I got the pop-up notification for this post because I'm apparently 12.

    Advice needed

Hi I bought my ball python on the 5th may 2017 and at the time he was approaching 8 month old on the 26th! Since having him he's ate an awful lot but still not pooped, near his tail area looks full however he hasn't released anything, he's producing urAtes when in warm water! Is he okay, temps around 31 degrees Celsius and humidity always between 50 and 80%. Should I be concerned?

Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired.
