    Champagne genetics

What are the problems with the champagne gene? I know super champagne is lethal but are there other problems I should know because I love the gene and want to produce pastel champagnes.

    Wobble.

    http://www.owalreptiles.com/issues.php

OWAL's site on morph issues. (Also has the list for complexes on that site, Ohhwataloser is one of the most helpful people on this forum)

Thanks for reminding me it's on my "oh heck no" list. People keep posting them and I forgot for a moment I won't work with breeding that morph

    Re: Champagne genetics

So to clarify the only genetic problem I would have to worry about when breeding her to my pastel is the chance for wobble correct?

i own 3 unrelated Champagne combo's and in my direct experience, wobble is not an issue. it obviously does happen, but it is not as prevalent of an issue as with the Spider morph. i see as many wobbly Champ's as i do "non-wobble" morphs having the wobble due to neurological issues caused by incubation, overheating, chemicals, etc. also keep in mind that a wobble doesn't necessarily impact the quality of life and ability to thrive. wobbles have been discussed and debated ad nauseam. here' one of the latest threads: https://ball-pythons.net/forums/show...ders-or-morphs Champ's are fine to keep and work with.

yes. also to to answer more broadly, there will be a chance for a wobble breeding your Champ to any other BP. it's a chance, not a guarantee.
