    Feeding Frequency/Changes

    First post!

I just adopted a 7yr old male BP, and his foster said that she fed him every 2 weeks (but he would eat everyday if she offered). He is super active, he is seldom in his hides and spends most of his time exploring his cage and looking for a way out. To my ignorant self he seems to be a perfect weight, but his ridiculous activity has me wondering if he is hungry and looking for food. I've seen a lot of info about weekly feeding and I dont want him to get fat, but i also dont want him to spend 70% of the time between feedings hungry. I also handle him a lot but he doesn't mind it at all (though the increased exercise and heat from being around my neck would increase his metabolism (i would think)) Just looking for some feedback.

    Thanks

edit: ive never owned a reptile before

4 days. I understand that new environment requires exploration, but his foster told me that he is generally highly active and "social". He found his hides (he prefers the cool side) but hasnt spent more than 15 minutes in it before he starts systematically scanning every inch of his rubbermaid over and over and over again. The day I recieved him I asked her about the 48hr/1st feed waiting period before handling and she said that was good practice but his personality didn't require it and that i could take him the next day to visit my niece and nephew with no problems. Apparently he is a very unusual BP.

edit: he also isnt adhering to any day/night cycle which is why i was wondering if it may be a food drive thats causing his activity.
