    Male wont eat

Hey yall ive had ball pythons now for a few years but ive never bred them or anything but i recently purchased a pastel lesser het clown and i guess before i received him the breeder had bred him the months prior to my purchase. He will not eat for me... ive had him around a month... is it normal for a male to go off food after breeding? how long till i start to worry? if so what do i need to do?

Alot of males go off food during breeding season. I wouldn't worry unless he starts loosing a lot of weight. Make sure husbandry is spot on and he will eat when he's ready
Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired.

Assuming it is a good size breeder male it's all about patience and nothing to be concerned about.

Adults tend to adjust to their new environment a lot slower sometime refusing to eat for month even a year.

Most important make sure the snake is well hydrated, try to emulate the breeder's setup if you can, or downsize to a minimum and no handling to see if he will resume feeding if you are concerned.

For what it's worth . I read somewhere that a Ball / Royal python holds the snake fasting record of 21 months !!

Then it just started eating and carried on as normal !

That is far from unusual for adults especially a male that size.
