If at all possible, could you get a more clear picture of the head? Also, what is your setup like (what is the snake housed in, temps, humidity, etc)? When is the last time he shed? Is he eating normally?

    Re: Help

Redbull has started acting aggressive and striking at nothing he can be moving in his tank and if he runs into his self or a piece of wood moves wired he lashes out at it

    That is a Dumerils Boa.

Looks like a piece of old shed on the head. Its probably irritating him.

You saved him, but you don't know yet what he/she is? What temps and humidity may be? What they should be?

You should have either researched/googled some or reached out to someone on a forum or locally as soon as you got that snake.

Every animal, esp. reptiles, all have very certain needs. If you rescue one, you should make sure you provide proper care. Look up Dumerils Boas.

What kind of heat are you providing? If the heat and humidity is off, your animal can either get sick or act out.

Please tell us more about the setup. And what you are willing/able to change. There are great write-ups here on how to make glass tanks work. But you have to have proper heat and ways to control it (thermostat) and ways to check it (thermometers/temp gun).

I'm not 100% sure , but it looks like stuck shed on the head. Try to also post on the "Boa" sub forum, they will know more about that species.

Here is a care sheet I found. Might be better ones out there.

    http://www.exoticpetvet.com/dumerils-boa-care.html

Best bet is to talk to people that own this species. So a post in the Boa sub forum with "Dumerils Boa help" in the title will get you the most help.

Can you get a better close up of the head. They can injure their head when they poke around the tank, but really looks like stuck shed. Try to raise the humidity.
Does the snake have a "hide" ?

If you can move him/her, you can try to put the snake in a container (with lid and airholes) that has a couple of wet hand towels in it. Not cold, not warmer then luke warm. See if the snake can rub off that old shed once the high humidity and wetness softens it up.
